For Pendleton, SC Drivers, the New Kia Forte Stays Ahead of the Nissan Competition -- See How Here at Kia of Anderson

Whether you're running between Greenville and Anderson 9-to-5 on the daily or commuting out of Pendleton down Highway 76 to elsewhere in our northwestern South Carolina neighborhood, you'll need the right compact car to take you there. Of course, plenty of space for a vehicle in the smaller segment, a generous roster of standard and available features, and the fuel economy to go the extra mile would be preferable, and the latest Kia Forte checks all those boxes and then some. Check out how it fares against some of its stiffest competition, like the new Nissan Sentra, and you'll see what we mean.

Consider our automaker's base model, Forte LX, as it squares up to its Sentra S sibling. From the get-go, Kia excels. You can look forward to a more spirited driving feel thanks to a 147-horsepower engine delivering 132 pound-feet of torque, whereas Nissan lags at 130 horsepower and 128 pound-feet. The new Forte is wider of track both front and rear, too, a stance more evocative of a compact sedan with mid-size car aspirations and offering the promise of a more stable, comfortable ride.

But step up to Forte S and compare it to Sentra SV, and you'll see Kia truly take off. Each might be comparable price-wise when similarly equipped, with a bump in highway and fuel economy to a neck-and-neck 37 mpg and 32 mpg respectively, but Sentra energetics drop to a less eager 124 horsepower and 125 pound-feet. The new Forte EX pulls even further ahead here, rising to a 164-horsepower engine capable of putting out up to 151 pound-feet of turning and pulling power, while Sentra's output remains the same in the graduation to its SR trim as in SV.

Now, factor in better passenger space, no matter which trim you prefer. It's 96.2 cubic feet compared to the Nissan competition at 95.9. In all, that's more front hip and shoulder room for your trip as well as better rear head, shoulder, and hip room. Moreover, consider that, at the base, each is similarly cost-effective. You'll see that Forte is actually the slightly more affordable option when comparably equipped, around $17,695, compared to Sentra at $17,875. Finally, note that Kia offers the better value: 60 months or 60,000 miles of basic warranty coverage and 120 months or 120,000 miles of powertrain coverage, versus Nissan and its 36 months or 36,000 miles and 60 months or 60,000 miles respectively. The choice is clear: it's Kia Forte that comes out on top.
Of course, these advances aren't all you have to look forward to, should you choose to purchase or lease a new Kia Forte with us here in the Pendleton area.
